Oil spill off the northern coast of Spain

The Prestige oil spill off the northern coast of Spain in November of 2002 was one of the most destructive human accidents of recent history. Like so many natural and human disasters, the event drew extensive global attention at first from the media and aid sources, but over time the tragedy is to be lived alone by the inhabitants of the region.
